The Big Move & a new published editorial
It is finally happening. After 3 amazing years in London, we are moving back to Sydney and I cannot wait. I have had such a fantastic time here and I have been very fortunate to collaborate with some amazing creatives. I feel like I have really developed my own style of makeup during my time here and i'm excited at what the future will bring for me in this industry back in my hometown. Obviously communication on here and on social media will be sporadic over the holiday season while the move takes place so bare with me.
So Merry Christmas and here's to an amazing New Year! I'll leave you with my latest published work which is featured in this month's issue of C-Femme magazine ... and also on it's cover which is really exciting!

Barely-there Bases
The older I get, the more ridiculous a full face of slap looks on me. Less is definitely more these days and luckily there seems to be a whole raft of products out there to help me cheat a good skin day. I have an obsession with bases (amongst my many other obsessions) - foundations, BB creams, CC creams, tinted moisturisers, tinted serums .... basically if there is a new product released that fits one of these categories I find it pretty hard not to invest and give it a go.
Cover FX Custom Cover Drops
I picked up this ingenious product in New York earlier this year, and I must say, I struggled with the application at first. It has taken a fair bit of experimentation to get the quantity and consistency right. This is marketed as a product of pure pigment which you can add to your existing skincare. You only need to apply the teeniest, tiniest amount (1-2 drops maximum) otherwise you have way too much product to try and rub in. I find for my skin, it works best if I apply a face oil first and then pat this in using my fingers. I also picked up the Cover FX Mattifying Primer and it does go on nicely over this as well. I really love the packaging and the full range of 24 shades would be a fabulous investment for my pro-kit. I use shade P40. Available at Sephora in Australia!
RMS Beauty "Un" Cover-Up
This is a fabulous little pot of goodness which is a concealer, but can also be using as a very sheer foundation. It has a coconut oil base so it just melts into the skin. I am shade 22 and I apply it with my fingers. Definitely a great option for an Australian summer. Available at Mecca Cosmetica.

Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum
This range is marketed as 'No Makeup Skincare' which is perfect for someone like me who suffers from hormonal break-outs and likes a bit of coverage even if i'm only heading to the gym. I have oily/combination skin so I apply this straight onto a clean face. It is a two-in-one product so I don't need a moisturiser underneath. It has a fairly watery consistency but it is very easy to blend with your fingers when you dot the product around your face first, just shake well prior to application. It is a one-shade-fits-most system and as the product is so sheer, it would work for most caucasian skins. Available at Mecca Cosmetica.
New work, same amazing team!
We did a shoot last weekend based from my house in Clapham, using the Common and nearby walls as our backdrop. We were really lucky to be working with Laurine from Body London who is visiting London from Paris. She was a total delight to work with, highly experienced and professional!
I just wanted to say that I had a negative comment on these images in reference to Laurine's weight on my Facebook page. The person who wrote that comment obviously has no connection to the fashion industry and i'm really not sure why they bother liking and commenting on my page. Fashion models are thin. End of story. Accept it and appreciate the makeup on these pages, or don't bother visiting!
Desert Island Products - March 2015
I haven't reviewed any products on here for a long time. I get a little tired of the colossal amount of bloggers writing about beauty who have no actual experience with makeup or skincare other than the experience of putting it on their own face. It turns me off reading, and writing about it too! I do, however, absolutely love taking pictures of my makeup collection - the colours and textures make me so happy.
So I thought I would update you on what my desert island favourite products are right now. These are products I am using on myself. I tend to go a little more luxe on myself than I do for my kit!
Eyes - Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in Mirage
This has a creamy mousse texture which makes it delightful to apply with your finger. It blends out really easily and is a perfect colour to give your eyes definition in one go.
Cheeks - Nars Orgasm Blush
This colour really does suit most complexions. It is a cult product for a reason and it often sneaks its way into my kit as I know there is a 99% chance it will suit the model I am working on.
Lips - Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Stoned Rose
This comes close to being my all time favourite lip colour ever. Mac's Cosmo beats it by a nose but this one is pretty perfect for both day and night. The texture is great - nice and creamy yet long lasting.
Face - By Terry Terribly Densiliss Foundation
It's no secret that my skin hasn't been behaving itself very well lately and this has been the main product i've been using to camouflage my hormonal breakouts. It is a serum foundation so the texture is sheer and blendable. I apply it with my hands at first, then after blending with my fingers I go over it with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to make sure it is all buffed in properly.

Menswear Inspired Shoot
Last week we shot Samantha Loxley from D1 Models and I was just so unbelievably pleased when I saw the results. Samantha was a dream to work with and I think her relaxed manor and lovely laid back approach comes across well in the final images.
Photography was by Daniel James Towle. I can't speak highly enough of him. His work is beyond beautiful!
Hair was by Tim Furssedonn. Tim is so inspiring to work with that he is spoiling it for all other hair stylists out there - he sets the bar so high!
Styling was by Daniel David. This was our first time working with Dan and we swiftly booked him in for future shoots so his name will be appearing on my blog again soon. Definitely one to watch!
