A little earlier this year it became apparent to me that I had a situation at hand. My makeup collection was starting to take over our bathroom and a few hints from a cranky husband meant I needed to find a solution. I trawled the internet, read lots of blog posts and formulated a plan. A quick sting of online shopping at Ikea ensued, and before I knew it, a new makeup area was mine.

The table came with a hidden drawer which only took about 5 minutes to fill, but using a system of storage trays there is method to my madness and nothing is ever far from reach. Skincare that is in my current rotation goes on the table top. Brushes, cotton pads and other 'tools' are to the right. Muji storage drawers contain foundations, BB creams and concealers. The drawer is filled with eye products, blushes, lipsticks and powders.

So far my two little girls are extremely intrigued by all the magic things in the drawers but seem to understand that it is all off limits and *touching wood* we have managed to avoid any accidental spills.
I find having everything laid out properly is the only way I actually use all the products I have. Once something is stuffed inside a messy drawer and out of sight, it is out of mind and does not get used.
